Enabling Your Camera for Facial Recognition
Before going through biometric identity verification, ensure your camera is turned on. Refer to the steps below:
- Google Chrome:
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Privacy and Security.
- Under Permissions, choose Camera.
- Make sure the option “Sites can ask to use your camera” is ticked.
- Microsoft Edge
- Go to Settings.
- Cookies and site permissions.
- Under All Permissions, choose Camera.
- Ensure that “Ask before accessing is on”.
- Safari
- Open Safari Preferences.
- Navigate to Websites.
- Go to the camera & mic tabs.
- Change access to Allow.
- Firefox
- Go to Settings
- Select Privacy protection
- Under All permissions, Select Camera
- Then select your preferred camera access settings for Firefox.
- iOS (Safari):
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Safari
- Camera
- Scroll down to Camera & Microphone.
- Confirm that “Ask” or “Allow” is checked
- Android:
- Got to Settings
- Select Apps & Notifications
- Tap the icon for the browser being used
- Under Permissions, select Turn on permissions for Camera.
Once the camera settings are changed, a popup should appear at the top of your screen, asking for permission to use your camera and microphone when you access the verification link. Click ‘Allow’ to start the liveness check.
