How weekend prices are set
Gold references PAXG, a digital token backed 1:1 by physical gold*. Silver and crude oil reference active market prices. All four instruments draw from real-market sources, reflecting live market activity.
*As represented by PAXG's issuer. Blueberry does not independently verify this backing, and the Gold CFD does not represent ownership of PAXG or physical gold.
One thing worth knowing
Weekend prices can sit slightly apart from Monday's open, because the main spot markets are closed. Prices may differ when the underlying markets reopen. This is typical when markets are closed for the weekend.
When you can trade
All four instruments trade Sunday through Saturday, 00:01 to 23:58. Saturday sessions open from 01:01. Available on MT5 only, across Blueberry's MT5-1 and MT5-2 servers.

Weekend gold trading
Gold is relevant to weekend market monitoring because its price is closely connected to geopolitical developments, broader macroeconomic conditions, changes in investor sentiment, and monetary policy expectations from around the world. Gold also plays a role in central bank reserve management, which means any developments over the weekend can create new information for prices (even when the standard market is closed).
XAUUSD247 is Blueberry’s separate CFD instrument for weekend gold trading.
Weekend silver trading
Silver may respond to similar macroeconomic and finance-market conditions as gold. However, silver also experiences industrial demand, making developments in the manufacturing and industrial sectors especially influential to its price.
XAGUSD247 is Blueberry's CFD instrument for weekend silver trading.
Weekend oil trading
Blueberry offers two separate weekend oil instruments. UKBRENT247 references UK Brent crude oil, while USWTI247 is for US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil. These are separate instruments based on distinct crude oil benchmarks.
Why weekend liquidity works differently
Weekend market activity may involve fewer participants, which means lower liquidity. This can lead to wider spreads, slippage and greater volatility, so conditions may differ from a standard weekday session and can increase risk when trading leveraged CFDs.
The shift toward weekend-accessible commodities
Commodity markets typically go quiet over the weekend as the standard markets close, which leaves no continuously updating market price for a CFD to reference. But this doesn’t mean that geopolitical events or market developments also stop, simply that there is no standard, continuously traded price during the closure.
Tokenized assets offer a way to address this constraint. PAX Gold (PAXG) is a digital token that represents one fine troy ounce of London Good Delivery gold. PAXG trades 24/7 on secondary markets. Blueberry uses PAXG as the price reference for XAUUSD247, which provides a continuously available market reference for its weekend gold CFD, while the standard spot gold markets are closed.
By using a continuously traded tokenised asset as a price reference, weekend-accessible commodity instruments can continue to have a live market reference even if their underlying market is closed.
